This is part two of my project – Royal Signals 1946 in pictures, all photos belonged to my Grandfather, he took during his time with the army, when he was 21 he was called up for Military Service and was shipped out to Egypt, luckily for us he took his camera! Unfortunately he died in 2001, so all photos were passed down to me.

Thank you for visiting and welcome to my blog. So what is the point of this blog? I find history fascinating, I will always browse the history section in a bookshop, watch a documentary on TV, and listen to an audiobook if I find the time, when I go on holiday I will always make sure I visit the historical sites. I am not a professional writer and I have no qualifications in history (besides a GCSE) I enjoy taking time out to build these posts It is a great way to learn, my blog is my scrapbook. I try to keep it interesting and mix it up, as you can see I have a very broad interest in history.
The side project of my blog titled -Royal Signals 1946 in pictures- are photographs my Grandfather took while serving with the Royal Signals in the Middle East, these photographs belong to me and my family, I wanted to upload them and share them with anyone who may be interested, I thought they deserved to be seen – not stored away in a box somewhere, I cannot stop people from using them but please ask me first and leave a link back to the rest so other people can view them all, thank you.
